Index of Vulnerability for Elevated Nitrates in Groundwater
The indicator “Index of Vulnerability for Elevated Nitrates” is based a USGS logistic model (Frans, 2008; Tesoriero and Voss, 1997) that estimated the probability of elevated nitrate concentrations in groundwater. Its strength is that it is representative of the region including tribal communities and rural areas with limited data.
